The Society held its first meeting in 1986 and is based in Ballarat, an 1850's Gold Rush town in the State of Victoria in southern Australia.
We are now one of the largest firearm collecting organizations in country Victoria.
We are one of six independent organizations in the State, all of whom having a firearm based collecting interest.
The Society is also an approved shooting organization (Hunting and Target Shooting) under the Victorian Firearms Act, so Members can hold category A+B arms using membership as "Reason to Own"
We hold monthly meetings in Ballarat on the last Wednesday of the month, except in December and January and usually hold a BBQ in February. Formal meetings begin in March.
